Naman Choi Chiwit's name is a hereditary legacy that began in 1960 in Kampung Sauk, Kuala Kangsar, Perak. The original recipe was a masterpiece and a blend of ideas born in Malaysia and Thailand since 300 years ago by Tok Lebai Yusof, Tok Deramat and Tok Sharif. This product was then improved by Haji Ashari until it was produced by "Naman Choi Chiwit". The effort to continue making the product was done by Abdul Halim Ashari and later presently by Firdaus Abdul Halim.
